The Harsey Air Ranger II™, one of the
latest import knives from Gerber, is now available. Designed by
William Harsey, engineered by Gerber, the Air Ranger II™ is
high performance cutlery at a high volume production price. The
Air Ranger II™ has some of the best features now expected by
today's discriminating and educated cutlery buyer.
The Air Ranger II™ handle is made from aluminum. Anodized an
attractive dark green, the handle is also checkered like a fine
gun stock. This precision CNC machined checkering provides an
excellent grip when using the knife. The belt/pocket clip on the
Air Ranger II™ is removable for a slimmer profile if so
desired. The handle incorporates a single liner as the lock.
Made from stainless steel, the liner springs into place upon
opening the blade, locking it open and ready for use.
Air Ranger II™ has a clip point blade made from high carbon
stainless steel, with a thumb stud on both sides for easy right
or left one-handed opening. Blades are available with a fine
edge or partially serrated edge, and are heat-treated to
57-59Rc. This provides the best edge holding ability while
maintaining flexibility and strength. The blade has a bead blast
finish, giving it a beautiful satin finish.
